Terms of use

These website terms apply to use of the PadPrinters Medical site operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. By using this site, you accept the terms below and agree to handle the information responsibly.

Use of this website and general conditions

This website is provided for general information about pad printing services for medical and electronic components, including artwork preparation, plate work, trial runs and dispatch packing. It is intended for manufacturers, buyers and production teams who need practical information before making a project enquiry.

You may view, download and print content from this site for internal business use only, provided that you do not change the material, remove notices, or use it for any misleading purpose. Any other use requires prior written permission from the operator. We may update, amend or withdraw content at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that all information will always reflect the latest production conditions or client requirements.

Technical information and production guidance

Pad printing is a process that transfers ink from an etched plate to a product using a silicone pad. It is commonly used on small or irregular parts where fine detail matters, such as housings, buttons, controls and selected medical or electronic parts. Information on this site about inks, curing methods, adhesion testing and fixture making is general in nature and not a substitute for a project-specific assessment.

The customer must confirm that any marking, artwork placement, material choice, curing method or production run suits their own device design, testing process and compliance obligations. We may suggest options based on practical experience, but the final decision rests with the customer and their own technical team. Small differences in substrate finish, geometry, moulding marks or handling can affect the final result, so trial samples are often advisable.

  • Artwork redraws and print area planning are based on the information supplied.
  • Colour matching depends on substrate, curing method and ink behaviour.
  • Adhesion test samples are for evaluation only unless agreed otherwise.

Intellectual property and client materials

All text, photographs, layout, graphics and other site material remain the property of the operator or its licensors unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, reproduce, publish or distribute any part of this site for commercial use without written consent. Product names, part drawings, logos and artwork supplied by customers remain the customer’s responsibility and property, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If you send artwork, part images, specifications or sample references through the contact page form, you grant us permission to use those materials for quoting, production planning, plate exposure, trial sample runs and related internal work. We treat such material as confidential in the ordinary course of business, but we do not accept liability for documents or data sent to us outside the intended enquiry process.

Orders, approvals and rerun job control

Nothing on this website creates a binding order. Any production work is subject to separate confirmation, job approval and the supply of suitable parts, artwork and instructions. For pad printing, a clear approval process helps avoid errors in colour, positioning or cure performance, especially where components are small or the print area is limited.

Where a customer approves a proof, sample or layout, that approval applies to the details shown at the time. Later changes may affect lead time and repeatability. We may keep job records for rerun job control, but we cannot guarantee identical results on every batch if the substrate, tooling, ink batch or process settings change. It is the customer’s duty to review proofs carefully before sign off.

  • Approval of a sample does not transfer device compliance responsibility to us.
  • Any change to part material or geometry may require new tests.
  • Repeated orders should be checked against the latest approved sample.

Service areas and local handling

We serve manufacturers across South Africa, including Pinetown, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Gqeberha, with support from our Westmead, Pinetown base. If a project depends on a particular curing method or tight turnaround, these factors should be considered early.

References to Pinetown Printing Support, Durban Manufacturers, Johannesburg Supply, Pretoria Supply, Cape Town Supply, Gqeberha Supply, New Germany Support and Westville Support are service areas only. They do not create separate legal entities or separate contracts unless stated in writing. Customers should ensure that goods handed over for testing or collection are properly identified and packaged for transport.

Liability limits and website availability

While we take reasonable care with the information on this site, it is provided on an as is basis. We do not warrant that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, error free or free from harmful code. We are not liable for loss arising from reliance on site content, delays in access, missed production windows, or decisions made without a proper technical review.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the operator and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, except where such exclusion is not allowed by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit such limitation.
