About us

PadPrinters Medical is a Westmead, Pinetown print room for manufacturers who need clear, repeatable markings on medical and electronic parts. We handle each job with practical planning, careful set-up and close attention to the detail that keeps small components legible and consistent.

About us

Why medical and electronics printing needs a steady hand

Medical and electronics parts often leave very little room for error. A mark may need to fit a narrow surface, stay readable on a small housing, or sit in exactly the same position across a batch. That is why the setup matters so much. Even a slight shift in artwork, fixture position or ink transfer can change the finished result. We work through those details before the job moves into routine production.

In coastal areas like Durban, humidity can affect inks and drying behaviour, while inland sites may deal with different temperatures and handling conditions. We keep our process organised so the job can continue with as little disruption as possible. That means clear communication, sensible scheduling and a proper record of what was agreed on each run.

  • Small parts that need clean, legible marking
  • Curved, recessed or uneven surfaces
  • Matched reruns for earlier approved samples
  • Controlled production in changing site conditions

Artwork in, marked parts out

Our work usually begins with artwork preparation and logo redraws, followed by print area planning so the mark sits correctly on the part. We then move through plate exposure, plate etching, fixture making and trial sample runs. For many jobs, the first sample tells us a lot about ink behaviour, contact pressure and how the part responds to the print. If needed, we adjust the setup before full production starts.

Choosing the curing method is part of the planning too, because different inks and substrates need different handling. On some components the mark must withstand handling, cleaning or repeated use, so adhesion and drying have to be correct. Where needed, we produce adhesion test samples, and we keep rerun job control in place so later runs align with the agreed sample as closely as possible.

  • Artwork Preparation and Logo Redraws
  • Print Area Planning and Colour Matching
  • Adhesion Test Samples and Trial Sample Runs
  • Plate Exposure, Plate Etching and Fixture Making
  • Curing Method Selection and Rerun Job Control
  • Dispatch Packing for local and national delivery

A practical partner for ongoing production

PadPrinters Medical is set up for manufacturers who want a steady supplier rather than a one-off print. We are used to trial sample runs, rerun job control and dispatch packing that keeps parts organised for the next stage of assembly or distribution. Where needed, we help with print area planning and the small adjustments that make the final marking cleaner and easier to read. That is often where a good result is won, in the setup rather than at the press.

We understand that medical and electronic components need more than a neat logo. They need marks that suit the part, hold up in use and stay aligned with the production process. Manufacturers call on us when a mark has to be right on every part.

Built in Westmead for precision work

PadPrinters Medical helps South African manufacturers put accurate marks onto parts that are often small, curved or difficult to print. From our base in Westmead, Pinetown, we work with clients in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria and Gqeberha, as well as nearby support areas like New Germany and Westville. The work is technical, and it suits us because the process needs patience, consistency and a good eye for detail.

Pad printing is well suited to medical and electronic components because a silicone pad can transfer ink from an etched plate onto uneven surfaces, recesses and tight features. That makes it useful for switch housings, control parts, instrument panels and other components where clear marking matters. We keep the process practical and controlled, from artwork to curing, so each run is handled with the same care. Our customers remain responsible for their own device compliance, while we focus on producing the print itself with accuracy and repeatability.

The people who keep the work moving

PadPrinters Medical is led by Sibusiso Naicker, our Managing Director, with a team that handles the day to day work in a practical and hands-on way. Naledi Kekana manages production, Sanjay Dookhi handles artwork and plate work, Lerato Mabunda oversees quality control, Yashika Sewpersad leads client services and Mfundo Xaba looks after machine set-up. Each person has a clear role, and that helps when jobs need careful coordination from enquiry through to dispatch.

We do not treat the process like a one-person operation. A print job can involve checking artwork proportions, making a fixture, setting the machine, testing adhesion and confirming the curing approach. Having the right people in the right place saves time and reduces mistakes. It also means clients get straight answers about what is possible on their component, and what will need to be tested first.

  • Managing Director: Sibusiso Naicker
  • Production Manager: Naledi Kekana
  • Artwork and Plate Technician: Sanjay Dookhi
  • Quality Coordinator: Lerato Mabunda
  • Client Services Lead: Yashika Sewpersad
  • Machine Setup Specialist: Mfundo Xaba

What our values look like on the floor

Our values are practical rather than decorative. We work carefully, keep to the agreed brief and aim for prints that are clear, durable and repeatable. When a client sends a part for assessment, we look at the surface, the print area and the expected use before recommending the next step. If the marking needs a sample run first, we say so. If the artwork needs simplifying, we explain why. That kind of honesty saves time and reduces frustration later.

We also believe in proper control of repeat work. Once a job is approved, we keep useful records so a rerun can be set up with less drift and fewer surprises. For manufacturers, that matters because parts often go through batches over months or years. A consistent marking process supports that rhythm, especially when products are shipped to different branches or contract sites across South Africa.

Serving manufacturers across South Africa

Although our base is in Pinetown, our work reaches beyond KwaZulu-Natal. We support clients through Pinetown Printing Support, Durban Manufacturers, Johannesburg Supply, Pretoria Supply, Cape Town Supply, Gqeberha Supply, New Germany Support and Westville Support. Those areas cover a wide spread of manufacturing activity, from large production runs to specialist component work. The common thread is the need for dependable marking that can be planned into a production line.

Clients usually reach us through our contact form, which helps us gather the right details before we quote or plan a sample. That includes the part material, required print area, artwork, expected volumes and any handling issues the component faces in use. From there, we can advise on colour matching, adhesion test samples, fixture making and the most suitable curing method for the job.
